XYZprinting will be at CES to unveil new consumer and commercial offerings intended to help small businesses unlock the power of 3D printing.
XYZPrinting has an impressive history of innovation and budget pricing; its da Vinci Mini was awarded our Editors' Choice for consumer 3D printers. The new products include a full-color 3D printer for small businesses and schools, a bargain-priced entry-level 3D printer for families, and a safe 3D printing pen for children for under $50.
Affordable Small-Biz Color 3D Printing
The XYZPrinting da Vinci Color AiO is designed to provide full-color 3D printing to small businesses and schools at a fraction of the cost of other full-color 3D printers, making it an accessible tool for anyone looking to incorporate 3D printing into their business or curriculum.
It combines 3D printing and inkjet technology to achieve true depth of color, layer by layer. Mixing filament with CMYK color allows for accuracy and precision of coloring, as PCMag saw in a demonstration of this product last year. The printer's all-in-one (AIO) element is that it integrates a 3D scanner. Product designers can print a full-color prototype in a matter of hours, versus weeks through third-party 3D printing services. An optional laser engraving module helps small businesses like leather and woodworkers increase production capacity and efficiency.
The da Vinci Color AiO includes XYZmaker, an easy-to-use, complete 3D modelling software. With it, you can create, prepare, and print, even from a tablet. It includes animation, movie models, and educational modules. The printer's easily removable print bed allows your prints to adhere better, and auto-leveling and calibration detection system add to its ease of use. It has an expected list price of $3,499.
Da Vinci Nano: Going Small
The tiny da Vinci Nano, the latest XYZPrinting consumer 3D printer offering, is 40 percent smaller than the Editors' Choice da Vinci Mini, with a build size of 4.7 by 4.7 by 4.7 inches. This portable 3D printer is easily maneuverable around your home, school, or office.
The da Vinci nano comes bundled with the new XYZmaker Mobile app, which lets you print directly from your tablet if you have a Wi-Fi connection. Furthermore, XYZprinting will also offer an educators curriculum that is great for in-school use and complies with NGSS, plus a microsite with additional educational modules and projects for school and home. It is expected to list at just $229.
The built-in convenience and safety features include auto-calibration, an auto-feeding filament system, and removable print bed. It is for new users to bring their creations to life by simply pressing print. Its enclosed printing area and non-heated bed ensure the printing area is safe for kids. The models are highly durable and made with plant-based filament, and according to XYZPrinting are completely safe for printing toys for kids, along with prototyping.
How Cool Is This 3D Pen?
At just $44.95, the Da Vinci 3D Pen Cool is a standalone, pen-like device that can create 3D-printed objects without the need of computers or computer-assisted design software.
With it, you can move freely along a surface or extend your creation upwards to add dimension to your drawings. And this 3D pen is cool in more ways than one: While previous versions of this product have been available, the Da Vinci 3d Pen Cool is the first to utilize temperature modification to keep it cool, making it safe for even the littlest users.
Check out XYZPrinting's products next week in the LVCC's North Hall, #7903.
